From Struggle to Flow: Align Your Wealth with Your Soul’s Calling
By Ruth-Anne Lindsey
Imagine standing on the shore of the Island of Possibility. The warm breeze brushes against your skin as you gaze at a horizon that promises freedom, purpose, and abundance—not just financial security, but a life that feels deeply aligned with who you are.
Now, imagine looking back, where you’ve been stranded for far too long. It’s crowded with fears about money, old stories about what success “should” look like, and financial decisions that left you feeling unfulfilled. You’ve tried building the perfect budget, chasing the revenue goals, even waiting for the “right” relationship or the “perfect time” to feel safe. But deep down, something is missing.
I know this because I’ve been there.
For years, I believed financial success meant hitting certain milestones: a specific income, a thriving business, a level of security that would finally let me breathe. But when I achieved those things, the happiness I expected never arrived. Instead, wealth felt hollow—because I wasn’t aligned with my soul’s calling.
That truth hit me hard after my marriage ended. I wasn’t just grieving a relationship—I was questioning everything. Had the financial choices I made truly reflected me? Or had I been compromising my values, making decisions out of fear and obligation?
That was the turning point. I made a commitment: My wealth would no longer be something I earned—it would align.
What Does Abundance Mean to You?
For many women, money has always been tied to survival, external approval, or the illusion of security. But real abundance isn’t just about how much you have—it’s about whether your wealth reflects your deepest values and dreams.
Ask yourself:
Does the way I earn and spend money reflect what I truly value?
Do my financial decisions feel expansive and empowering—or heavy and obligatory?
If I had unlimited wealth, how would I use it to express my highest purpose?
When I began answering these questions honestly, everything shifted. I stopped chasing revenue goals that didn’t light me up. I restructured my business so it felt like an extension of my soul’s work. And most importantly, I stopped waiting—waiting for the perfect situation, the perfect partner, or the perfect version of myself to start living in alignment.
Your Wealth Should Support Your Purpose—Not Distract from It
One of the biggest blocks I see women struggle with is fear—the fear of making money decisions that go against their values. Maybe it’s guilt about charging what they’re worth. Or fear of spending on themselves. Or the habit of shrinking their dreams because they don’t trust their own wisdom.
Here’s the truth: Money is not the end goal. It’s a tool—a resource meant to amplify what matters most to you. When you use it in alignment with your calling, you open the flow for true abundance.
For me, success is no longer about hitting a number. It’s about living a life where every financial decision feels aligned and purposeful. And the more I embraced that, the more abundance flowed naturally.
